India’s badminton icon and double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu is preparing for a new milestone in her life as she gears up for her wedding. The 29-year-old will tie the knot with Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, on December 22 in the scenic city of Udaipur. The celebrations, described as grand yet understated, will commence with pre-wedding events starting on December 20.

Sindhu’s family announced that a post-wedding reception is planned in Hyderabad on December 24. The wedding dates were chosen carefully to align with Sindhu’s packed schedule, allowing her to return to the badminton circuit in January for an important season.

Many media outlets reported quoting PTI news agency, Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, shared insights into the planning. “Both families have known each other for a while, but the arrangements were finalized only last month. December was the only available window given her busy schedule,” he said.

Sindhu’s immediate plans include resuming her rigorous training soon after the festivities to focus on the demanding international badminton calendar next year. The wedding, set against the backdrop of picturesque Udaipur, marks a harmonious blend of her personal joy and professional commitment.
